guacamole

Cinco De Mayo is the reflection of the Battle of Puebla.  It was started in the American West by Mexican-American War Communities to reflect the strength of democracy and freedom. It is celebrated to honor Mexican heritage and tradition.  Dana and I honor that tradition by make some of our favorite Guacomale paired with vegetables, Jicama taco, or even as part of our “burrito bowl.”

From our kitchen to yours, Bennett

Ingredients

2 ripe Avocados
1 small jalapeno, stemmed and diced
½ red onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
1 teaspoon sea salt

Directions
Grind the onions and garlic into a paste and combine with the rest of the ingredients
Adjust the lime juice and salt as necessary based on desired texture and flavor

Serves 4
